Privacy Policy

How Watermark in Word handles your documents, random file names, temporary storage and automatic cleanup.

1. Information you submit

We process uploaded Word documents, watermark images, filenames, file sizes, chosen watermark settings and any document passwords you supply. If you use account or support features, we also process the details you submit there, such as your email address and support messages. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.

2. How conversion works

Your documents and watermark images are uploaded to an online service to create the watermarked copies you request. Any opening password you provide is sent with the conversion request. Processing does not happen entirely in your browser.

3. Temporary files and deletion

Routine uploads, watermark images and conversion results are temporary. They are normally cleaned up about two to three hours after upload. Automatic cleanup may be delayed, so this is not an exact deletion deadline. Download your results promptly and keep the originals. Clearing the file list or refreshing the page does not immediately delete uploaded files.

4. Access and infrastructure

Uploaded files are assigned random storage names rather than using your original filename as their public address. This makes addresses harder to guess, but anyone with a download link may be able to access the file. Keep links private. Cloudflare provides hosting, storage and processing infrastructure; only upload files you are authorized to process online.

5. Cookies, preferences and usage data

The site uses browser storage and cookies for features such as sign-in, language and appearance preferences. Where enabled, first-party analytics records visits and interactions to understand usage and improve the service. Browser settings can remove stored data, but this may sign you out or reset preferences. See the Cookies Policy for further information.

6. Your choices and requests

You can choose not to upload a file, omit an optional password, or stop using the service. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or request deletion of personal information. Contact support with enough information to identify the relevant record, without sending your document password in the message. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. When requesting help, include the approximate conversion time, filename and displayed error so we can locate the relevant records. Do not send passwords or confidential documents by email unless a suitable handling method has been agreed. Removing a browser record or clearing cookies is not a server deletion request.

7. Policy updates and questions

Watermark in Word is the service name for this notice. Contact the support address below about uploads, personal information. We may verify a request before acting. This page is dated when updated; material changes to processing will be reflected here.

First-party usage analytics is enabled on this site.
